Halo 5: Two Sides To Every Story

A new Halo 5: Guardians trailer debuted last night during The Walking Dead. In it, Spartan Locke, a character who was introduced in the miniseries Halo: Nightfall and will be a playable character in the upcoming game, walks through a bunch of rubble to come upon a wounded Master Chief, all the while monologuing about remembering the Chief as a savior and not as a betrayer before he points his pistol at him.



What the hell is going on here?!? What did Master Chief do that allegedly caused all that destruction? And to make the waters even murkier than before, the end of the video directs you to a second trailer subtitled, "The Truth is Never What It Seems." In this trailer, their roles are reversed and just compounds the confusion.



In addition to the role reversal, the statue of the Master Chief has damage on it in this trailer, possibly implying this takes place after the first trailer and Master Chief somehow escaped Spartan Locke? Or perhaps it's more indicative of both players being playable and there being two different storylines instead of the combined but alternate storytelling of Halo 2 with Master Chief and the Arbiter? Who knows. The only thing we know for certain is that Halo 5: Guardians comes out October 27th.

Deadpool Official Suit

Ryan Reynolds just tweeted a photo of the official Deadpool suit, and if the setting is any indication, this is going to be one weird movie.

It's hard to say anything bad about this since the costume is pretty much spot on. In fact you could even argue it's a cosplayer's costume. What do you think?

My personal favorite is Clancy Brown's voicing of Luthor from Superman: The Animated Series, followed by Gene Hackman's hammy performance from Superman and Superman II.

TIE Fighter

If you've ever wanted to see an animated version of Star Wars told from the Empire's perspective and done in Anime style, here's your chance. TIE Fighter, which is drawn and animated by Paul Johnson, captures the feel of Star Wars but with animation that totally reminds me of space battles from Robotech and Gundam. It doesn't have the classic Star Wars music, probably because copyright infringement would take it down immediately, but the guitar riffing soundtrack is a nice throwback to 80's and 90's Anime. Just watch it and enjoy.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation Trailer

Mission: Impossible 5 Teaser Trailer

Mission: Impossible 5 is my third most anticipated film of 2015, and it finally has a first look teaser trailer and a name!



You can't really tell much from this trailer, but it looks pretty batshit crazy. So here are some things that stood out for me in this teaser.

Mortal Kombat X: Here's Johnny!

Mortal Kombat X comes out in about a month and it's latest trailer reveals Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and their adult daughter, Cassie Cage as playable characters. Wait, what?!? Johnny and Sonya got married, had a kid, and then got divorced?!? Well honestly it's not like plot and story were MK's strong suits. Anyway, here's the Cage Family Trailer.



Mortal Kombat X comes out April 14th.

Daredevil Official Trailer

With just a month left before Daredevil premieres on Netflix, Marvel has released an official trailer for the series. Check it out.



Here are five things to take away from the Daredevil official trailer.

It's Bloody

In this trailer alone, Matt Murdock looks like his ass got handed to him at least 4 times. With this being Netflix, they don't have to adhere to any network guidelines that might have toned down the violence. While it might not be Game of Thrones level carnage, I think the bloodiness of the trailer will certainly be reflected in the series.

Avengers: Age of Ultron, Third Trailer's the Charm

Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron is out in less than two months and their third and latest trailer just released thanks to a very vigilant tweeting fanbase. My breakdown of the last trailer went into snarky territory as I was kind of underwhelmed by its overall bleak tone and seemingly unfinished FX. The third trailer on the other hand has raised my excitement level back up with a healthy dose of Ultron, by putting the playfulness and heroism back in our heroes, by looking much cleaner and finished than the previous trailer, and finally by giving us a first look at the Vision.
