It's been a banner year for Ghostbusters. Earlier this year there was a traveling art show, the movie was re-released to theaters a few weeks ago, and a 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray just came out this past week. Now for a little behind the scenes action. Beyond the Marquee interviewed Stephen Dane, who designed the proton packs, ghost traps, and the roof rack for the Ecto-1. This video focuses mainly on his contribution to Ecto-1, and his design style which he refers to as "visual bull." Well that "visual bull" still looks great after 30 years. Stephen is as exuberant as any other Ghostbusters fan, and he talks about his work very fondly. He even shows off some of his development sketches for Ecto-1. This interview is definitely worth a watch for anybody interested in behind the scenes kind of stuff. And I'm hoping for a video detailing the design of the proton pack. :)
