Taken 3 Trailer
Liam Neeson has trained Obi-Wan Kenobi and Batman. He has fought wolves and released the Kraken. He is the King of Beasts and he loves it when a plan comes together. Why in the hell would anybody screw with this guy?!? He's knocking on retirement's door at 62 but the older he gets, the more badass he becomes. And now he gets to do it all over again in Taken 3. Thankfully, no one actually gets "taken" in this one or else they would have had to subtitle the movie Taken: Bad Parenting. The first Taken was an intense thriller. The sequel was just as intense but it had a little of that unbelievable Die Hard quality which had me asking, "It happened again?!?" It looks like Taken 3 is going The Fugitive route and the hunter is now the hunted as Bryan Mills is framed for his wife's murder. Hopefully that special set of skills will be used in new and different ways. Good luck... ;)
And just for fun, can somebody please get Liam Neeson his car?!?

Gotham Episode 1
Gotham is a BAD town. Bruce Wayne's parents were seemingly arbitrarily murdered in an alleyway. The police department is essentially run by the mafia. There's a mob war coming. And the only thing standing in the way of that evil is Detective James Gordon. Until of course he ultimately fails, and Bruce Wayne grows up and has to take care of things. But that's a long ways off.
So How Do You Make A Batman Show, Without Batman?
Let's face it. Batman is kind of boring. He's a brooding, no fun having superhero who wouldn't even exist without crime or his extensive rogue's gallery. He's mentally, physically, and technically gifted and he's your hero so he's never really going to die. So why not make a show focusing on the more interesting part of Gotham City, the bad guys! This is what I imagine how the pitch for Gotham went, and it's not a bad idea. Since the movies already have Batman occupied, the supporting bad guys are going to have to take center stage.

The Matrix 8-Bit Cinema
I really love CineFix's 8-Bit Cinema. It's a great twist giving relatively modern movies a nostalgic edge by hurtling them back in time to the games I grew up with. And they're done so well! Their latest creation is The Matrix, and everything's here; choosing the pill, the jump, the square-off with Agent Smith, and more! I think the car chase in Reloaded could also be turned into something akin to Pole Position, and Revolutions? Well let's just forget about Revolutions...

A Million Miles From Normal

Take four geniuses and one waitress and what show do you think I'm talking about? Nope, it's not The Big Bang Theory. It's CBS's new procedural drama, Scorpion, about four brilliant, yet socially awkward people who help the government, and one regular waitress who tries to help them understand the world.
As far as procedural shows go, CBS has a formula and sticks to it. Why do you think there are so many NCIS shows and were so many CSI shows at one point? But add a super smart, but socially inept character and what do you get? House MD, Monk, Numb3rs, Elementary, and Sherlock. Yeah, I think that whole schtick is getting a little tiresome, and honestly comparing anything to Sherlock is just unfair. While the pilot episode of Scorpion didn't blow me away, I can unequivocally state that it was certainly "not bad."

Meet Stephen Dane, Designer of the Ecto-1, Proton Pack, & Ghost Trap
It's been a banner year for Ghostbusters. Earlier this year there was a traveling art show, the movie was re-released to theaters a few weeks ago, and a 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray just came out this past week. Now for a little behind the scenes action. Beyond the Marquee interviewed Stephen Dane, who designed the proton packs, ghost traps, and the roof rack for the Ecto-1. This video focuses mainly on his contribution to Ecto-1, and his design style which he refers to as "visual bull." Well that "visual bull" still looks great after 30 years. Stephen is as exuberant as any other Ghostbusters fan, and he talks about his work very fondly. He even shows off some of his development sketches for Ecto-1. This interview is definitely worth a watch for anybody interested in behind the scenes kind of stuff. And I'm hoping for a video detailing the design of the proton pack. :)
And for more information, here's the original posting on Beyond the Marquee.

She's Got It Where It Counts...
Zack Snyder and J.J. Abrams been having a lot of fun tweeting out mash-up images of their upcoming movies, Batman V Superman and Star Wars Episode 7.
Earlier this summer Zack tweeted this image of Henry Cavill as Superman dressed in Jedi robes with a lightsaber.

Joaquin Phoenix as Doctor Strange?
Marvel has been looking into a few names for their upcoming Doctor Strange movie which we'll potentially see in July 2016. Among those names are Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hardy, and Joaquin Phoenix. Phoenix may be the most interesting name now thanks to Deviant Art user AndrewSS7 and his concept art of the actor as the Sorcerer Supreme. What do you think? I think it's pretty damn good!

More Than Meets The Eye Part 1
On September 17, 1984, The Transformers animated series premiered and a fandom was born that is still going strong 30 years later. True, the comic predates this by 4 months, but this cartoon is what hooked me and millions of other little kids. Sure it's crudely animated, and the theme song is overly simplistic, but it's vehicles that transform into robots!!! C'mon! Who couldn't resist that?!? So let's take a look at this seminal first episode and see what the big deal was all about.
Warning: This post is super long...
The narrator literally gives us the history of the Transformers in less than a minute. Coming from Cybertron, the Decepticons were bent on total domination against the peace loving Autobots. There you go, bad guys & good guys set up right from the beginning. And the war had robbed Cybertron of all its resources.

Batman V Superman Batmobile
UPDATE! Zack Snyder just tweeted out a much better picture of the Batmobile, and it looks pretty badass.
Thanks to Instagram user amacro13, we've got our first full look at the new Batmobile from Batman V Superman. And here it is...
It definitely looks like the bastard child of a tank and a race car, and is sorta reminiscent of Christopher Nolan's Tumbler. But I think it looks a lot like the Batmobile in the upcoming Batman video game, Arkham Knight.
What do you think? Enjoy the tank look? Or would you have preferred something sleeker?
Here’s a real picture of the #Batmobile. http://t.co/47beaZqr6f pic.twitter.com/Ez1ILa8JeE
