Proton Pack Build
I built a proton pack a few years ago for Halloween, and in honor of Ghostbusters getting re-released to theaters this weekend, and since it's National Ghostbusters Day, I thought it would be a good time to revisit this project.

Ghostbusters Honest Trailer
So last week a trailer for the Ghostbusters Anniversary Blu-Rays finally came out and it was narrated by the guy from the Honest Trailers videos from Screen Junkies. And it was only a matter of time before he did an honest trailer for Ghostbusters. It's appropriately snarky, and here it is!

Ghostbusters Paranormal Blast
You guys like free stuff, right? Well right now, Ghostbusters: Paranormal Blast is available for free in the Google Play Store, sorry iPhone users. It's an augmented reality game where you use Google Maps to locate ghosts, and then use your camera phone to see the ghosts so you can bust them. I haven't personally played the game, but it has a 4.1 rating out of 5 in the Google Play store, plus it's free so what do you have to lose?

Ghostbusters Anniversary Blu-Rays
A couple of months ago it was announced that Ghostbusters 1 & 2 would be re-released in an all new Blu-Ray set. Now, Sony has finally released a trailer detailing what will be included in the anniversary collection. And to show just how serious they are, they even got the Honest Trailer voice-over guy from Screen Junkies to do the commercial.
Here's the list of things to expect:
- Remastered in 4K.
- All new interview with director Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd.
- New alternate takes and deleted scenes.
- Music videos and more!

LEGO Ghostbusters Movie
A couple of weeks ago, I posted about an awesome LEGO Ghostbusters stop-motion that recreated some great scenes from the movie. Now, YouTube user MonsieurCaron has upped the ante with his LEGO stop-motion of an entire scene, namely the Sedgewick Hotel scene. It is absolutely full of awesome, and substitutes some very familiar mini-figs into some of the supporting roles. Check it out!
You can also check out a behind the scenes video below, and go to his site, BrickFun.net for more of his awesome LEGO work.

Doctor Who Series 8 Season Premiere Trailer
The trailer for Deep Breath, the season premiere of Doctor Who looks to have a dinosaur, the Paternoster Gang, and a redecorated TARDIS to go along with the introduction of Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor. According to executive producer Steven Moffat, there will be plenty of "action and nonsense and jeopardy." Can't wait!
Doctor Who premieres Saturday August 23rd on BBC One.

Carpe Diem
"Seize the day." That's a phrase we all more than likely learned from Robin Williams. It's hard to believe that a man who brought so much joy to millions of people couldn't find that joy in his own life. But that's the sad truth about depression. It can lurk anywhere and it can affect anyone no matter how happy the facade may appear. No one's really going to know what his reasons were. But one thing is clear. We've lost a comedy legend, and the world is a little less funny without him in it. But I'm not here to dwell on his death. I'm here to talk about and celebrate his life and what it meant to a lot of people.
The Early Years
Like most people in my age bracket, we were first introduced to Robin Williams on Mork and Mindy. He played an alien who traveled to Earth in an egg shaped spaceship. It was the perfect vessel for Williams' frantic and zany style of comedy, and it helped shape my sense of humor.

Guardians of the Galaxy Ten Best Moments
First off, I really enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy. Easily the best film of the summer, and quite possibly the best film I've seen all year with Captain America: The Winter Soldier a very, very close second. And in terms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I would put it only behind the first Iron Man and The Avengers. But after a record breaking weekend, and mind-boggling ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and imdb, do you really need me to tell you this is a really good film?
For me the movie was super fun and packed with a ton of memorable moments. So here are my top 10 moments from Guardians of the Galaxy.
WARNING: Below there be tons of spoilers!

LEGO Ghostbusters Stop-Motion
Recreating scenes from your favorite movies with LEGO is definitely a thing. But creating a stop-motion video is next level dedication. YouTube user humberto kam has done LEGO stop-motions of Star Wars and Batman, and now he's applied his talents to Ghostbusters. There are some very familiar scenes in this short clip, and he teases the possibility of doing an ongoing LEGO Ghostbusters series. Yes please!
