If you were watching 24 last night, and by all means you should have been, you may have seen the trailer to Gotham, a new FOX series set to debut in the fall detailing the life of a prepubescent Bruce Wayne, a young Jim Gordon, and a bunch of Batman's villains before they become villains. Think of it as Batman Really Begins. I guess if you can't make a TV series about Batman, the best way to get around it is to tell a story about the people around him. The trailer looks pretty slick, but will it survive long on the cancel-trigger-happy FOX network?
