It's an amazingly dark future here as Professor X laments whether we're destined to destroy each other, or if we can change who we are and unite. Hey wait a minute- wasn't that already the first sequel?!?
Magneto and his younger, angrier self must find a way to cooperate with Professor X and his younger hippie self as mutants are on the edge of extinction.
Wolverine and Mystique are back
As are Storm, Colossus, and Iceman who's in full on making ice slides mode.
The newcomers are Blink, Sunspot, and Pink Floyd wearing Quicksilver.
Beast, Professor X, and Wolverine entering Cerebro.
Kitty Pryde running through obstacles with Bishop.
Despite clocking in at almost 2 and a half minutes, not much is divulged in the trailer. Days of Future Past is one of the most popular X-Men storylines from the 80's, and in it, Kitty Pryde sends her mind back in time to her younger self to prevent a future where mutants are being hunted. In the film, Wolverine gets the call because quite frankly, he's probably more marketable. But the sheer number of people in this film is mind boggling, and the tone of the trailer is so ominous, I may have to go watch cat videos to cheer up. First Class was such a fun film and seemed like a great revitalization of the franchise. I'm not entirely sure DOFP is something that's going to be on my radar.
Too... many... characters...
