Transformers: Age of Extinction Trailer Breakdown

By now, you've probably seen the trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction which aired during the Super Bowl. The 30 second commercial is total Michael Bay with explosions and rapid cuts leading people to have no idea what's going on. The only thing I really remember is Optimus Prime riding Grimlock so let's take a look at the rest of the trailer.





The trailer starts with this ominous Transformer walking out of the smoke. He looks like he's in the trailer again later, and speculation is he's Galvatron.

A sleeker looking Optimus Prime, and I'm not exactly a fan of this look. He looks a little too insect like here.

Someone transforming into a giant gun. I want to believe this is Galvatron (inset) since there are a lot of similarities, but the Internet is telling me this is Lockdown, who will eventually become a Lamborghini.

Optimus Prime getting shot. Okay, they're just ripping off/paying homage to the original movie at this point.

Galvatron? About to slice a car in half, because you know, he has built in saws?

A new Autobot named Crosshairs. He was originally a Targetmaster in the G1 line. Now he's gonna be a green Corvette.

Bumblebee getting attacked/saved by a flying two-headed Transformer who could be either the Dinobot Swoop or a Predacon?

And of course Optimus Prime riding Grimlock, because that's just cool. I think this brings Optimus full circle as Peter Cullen based his voice on that of legendary cowboy John Wayne.

And just one more Optimus riding Grimlock for good measure. =D

And you'll notice I didn't include any pictures of the humans, because quite frankly I don't really care about them. I just wanna see robots fighting robots.
