Marvel is doing their best to introduce the public to the Guardians of the Galaxy because I would venture to guess, unless you follow the comics, most of us have no idea who these guys are. The first trailer came out yesterday, and today Marvel released little 30 second clips with behind the scenes interviews designed to introduce each character.
Let's start with Rocket, who you can finally see voiced by Bradley Cooper who describes him as having some real anger issues.
Then there's Groot, and you can see why they got Vin Diesel to voice the giant tree.
Here's Drax the Destroyer, played by former professional wrestler Dave Bautista.
Zoe Saldana plays Gamora, the stealth assassin.
And finally, Star Lord himself, Peter Quill played by Parks & Rec's Chris Pratt. Just a guy looking for some respect and recognition.
You know maybe it's a good thing most people don't know who these guys are. With all the backlash the Fantastic Four casting is getting, no one really knows if any of this casting is spot on or not.
You know, I find this far more promising than the Fantastic Four reboot. Maybe because I DIDN'T read the comics back in the day, therefore going into this with a clean slate. Or, could be that the previous FF movies left a bad taste. - Lynn H.
