The Real Ghostbusters "A Christmas Carol" episode. My only qualm is all the ghosts of Christmas are present at the same time to be caught, but otherwise a great episode!

The Cybertronic Spree
Credit: http://www.stadiumcomics.com |
Stan Bush calls these guys "awesomely strange." Yup, that about sums it up. The Cybertronic Spree perform covers from the 1986 animated movie dressed as Transformers. Aside from the fact that the costumes are just a little unsettling, I'm giving this a thumbs up because it takes balls to do this, and of course it's all in good fun. Check out their website here, and here's their cover of "The Touch"
Monday December 16th Catch-up
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Just wanted to catch everybody up on a bunch of stories I found interesting that came out this weekend that you may have missed. Might make this Monday catch-up a regular thing.
The Verge (through Reddit) has a post on an abandoned nursing school that has its walls covered in Batman & Joker graffiti. It's pretty cool and you can check out The Verge post here and the album here.

Sherlock Meets The Doctor
Here's a fan made video of Sherlock Holmes meeting The Doctor. Now, I'm a Doctor Who noob, but I'm definitely a fan of Sherlock, and this video was made with a lot of love for both franchises. There are some amazing amateur video mashups being done out there, and here's one of them.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer Breakdown
Spider-Man is back, in a more classic costume, and bigger eyes! The trailer starts with Spidey falling through the sky and monologuing about making more enemies the longer he's around. That's when we get a brief look at the Rhino suit, which is basically a mech. I'm in for that because Paul Giamatti may be a good actor, but he's no musclebound Rhino.

Voltron is About to Celebrate His Dirty Thirty?!?
Holy crap, Voltron is 30 years old?!? And what better way to celebrate than by issuing an all new, commemorative toy!
According to entertainmentearth.com where this will be available, the 30th Anniversary Voltron will be 11 inches of die-cast goodness, with light up eyes, and will also come with the badge that becomes a key (Remember? Activate interlock!) that you can put in the display stand to activate the lion's roar.
I didn't have the original Go Lion toy as a kid, I had the knockoff Lion Bot, which was only partly die-cast and not durable at all. Or maybe I was just a rough kid? So I'd love to have this new figure, which looks way more poseable than the original toy. The one caveat? It's $225. That's a lot to pay for a piece of your childhood. The 30th Anniversary Voltron comes out in February 2014.

Uncharted 4
The next Uncharted game has been teased by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 4. The tease however makes no mention of Nathan Drake, the protagonist of the first 3 games (and who I dressed up as for Halloween) :P Speculation is rampant that there will be a new lead character, and if you ask me, that would be like replacing Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. But, if the quality of the game is like the previous 3, I'll definitely be buying a PS4 sometime in the next year. You can read more about the tease here.

Mjolnir has been forged...
not in the heart of a dying star, but in the blacksmith shop of Tony Swatton. This is a ridiculously cool build. Thor: The Dark World is in theaters now.

RoboCop Trailer
In fact it shows off way more of RoboCop than we've seen before and this time it gives us glimpses of Samuel L. Jackson as some kind of Don King promoter (complete with wacky hair) and Michael Keaton as an executive in charge of creating RoboCop. I must say this looks like it's gonna be tons of fun. And Michael Keaton needs to be in more things...
